Observe Our Overflow of Origami Oeuvres and Observations!
yes I did look up an o word for creations :P
Origami has been a hobby of mine for many years. I was first introduced to it as a child. My brother had a brief interest in it, and had gotten a few instructional books. Ones about folding monsters and creatures, things kids would be interested in. And I was! I liked to fold paper airplanes a lot as a kid, as well as other random models. I've been trying to push myself to more complex things, and grow my understanding of the artform.
In addition to continuing to fold interesting models, there are two goals I have in origami: Being able to fold from crease patterns, and make my own designs.
The vast variety in style and technique in origami continues to fascinate me. The process of taking a single square and folding it, the transformation it undertakes, the journey from that square to a creation. It is marvelous.
